Members and First Timers will join Kelly McWilliams for an online Round Table
Join us for an engaging round table discussion on "The Power of Being Proactive" in the wedding industry, where we'll explore how taking a proactive approach can transform client experiences, optimize communication, and enhance efficiency.
Overview: The session will open with insights from my own experiences in staying ahead of common client and colleague frustrations. I'll share real-life examples of how proactively addressing needs has streamlined my calls, meetings, and emails, resulting in fewer miscommunications and a more enjoyable, seamless experience for all parties involved
Discussion Structure:
Closing & Brainstorming Session: To wrap up, we'll come together for a final "brain dump." Using a digital download called the Proactive Power Sheet, each attendee will capture as many actionable items as possible to enhance proactive strategies for both clients and colleagues. This exercise will allow attendees to leave with a concrete list of ideas they can implement immediately in their own businesses.
We look forward to exchanging ideas that empower us to be more proactive and innovative in the way we support our clients and collaborate with colleagues!
BIO
Kelly A McWilliams has produced hundreds of destination weddings, social events and celebrations since opening her business in 2002. Besides running a successful business, she sponsored over 40 college student interns, has a podcast and hosts a local 1 day educational industry conference (WeWed).
Her early goal was to put SWFL on the map for destination weddings through social media, press & publish. Kelly has strategized to bring what was big and happening in the major metropolitan cities back to the small region on the Florida Gulf Coast through travel and attending conferences worldwide. In 2018 her business expanded beyond Florida to formally include Nevis, West Indies, Dominican Republic and Punta, De Mita Mexico.
Kelly is known for her understated but beautiful designs with the priority being on guest experience. "Equal in beauty as they are an outstanding experience that no guest will ever forget". Kelly is recognized as a top planner by Martha Stewart Weddings and her weddings have graced the pages and websites of most national wedding publications over the last two decades. She and her work have been quoted and featured on CNN, NBC, Fox. She has taken the stage as a keynote speaker, break out host, panel moderator and emcee at industry conferences, national and regional associations around the globe speaking on everything from resilience, productivity, relationship building and avoiding burnout by calendaring.
The KMCWP team expanded in 2022 with a full time planner and will continue to grow in 2025. She also offers one on one coaching opportunities for those looking to strengthen their wedding businesses by improving client and vendor relationships. This year to expand and evolve KMCWP, Kelly is planning fundraising galas for Breakthrough T1D in Naples and Palm Beach.
- Kick-off with Examples: I'll introduce some of my go-to proactive strategies that have helped me anticipate needs, elevate client satisfaction, and set expectations early.
- Breakout Sessions: Afterward, we'll divide into groups to discuss proactive strategies in two key areas:
- Sales Process: In this session, we'll focus on proactive methods for setting the tone with prospective clients and managing their expectations from the very first contact.
- Process & Touchpoints: Here, we'll explore how proactive communication can improve client touchpoints, keep projects on track, and handle common issues before they escalate.
